Bilal Hassani, bats-toi comme une fille mon fils

The general public discovered Bilal Hassani during Eurovision 2019 with his song "Roi" (King),a true anthem to diversity that sparked waves of both love and hatred on social media. Very quickly, the young man courageously tackled the question of gender identity in a personal and artistic exploration, not hesitating to share his doubts, his wounds, and his own evolution with us. This documentary sets out to embrace several deeply resonant themes: homosexuality, homophobia, cyberbullying and justice, racism as well as Moroccan roots, love and the choice of a mother who frees herself from cultural weight for her son's fulfillment, celebrity, and of course, identity and gender.
